We adore this glicée print. A forever modern, yet quite nostalgic view the forever unique part of London that is Camden.
Locks are both access routes and points for ‘gongoozling’ (Linconshire canal-worker slang for those who stand and stare – gawp, we might say – although the term ‘gongoozler’ is still very much used by those know the canals). But this is also very much London: the Thames; the red double-decker bus; the fisherman and the church spire. This is a lyrical evocation of a point in time by the famous Camden Lock.
