Few things make Lizzet happier than flowers and art so it is no surprise the fabric collection is an ode to florals and nature, drawing inspiration from art and the unique colours that nature shares with us every season.

Choosing linen as the base cloth for her first collection was no coincidence.  Lizzet’s appreciation for beautiful textiles, from the composition, the weave and colour, made it an obvious choice to select a heavy linen that gives body to curtains and a delicate drape at the same time.

Living in London has been a great experience for me.  The vibrancy of the city, its culture, its past and present has fuelled me with inspiration to create my first textile collections.  On one side I have easy access to the most wonderful galleries in the world, and at the same time I live at the doorsteps of luscious green parks that fill my mind with countless ideas”              - Lizzet Frausto

Whilst her designs usually start during long walks with her pugs or with her husband in galleries, museums or walking in nature in a Greek island, they eventually take the shape in sketches to then become patterns and get give different lives and personalities with colours that suit today’s modern homes.

“My designs are a true reflection of where I come from, the places where I've lived and visited, and everything that I like.  My textiles combine traditional elements and unpretentious ease, mixed with my love for pattern, texture and colour they are a natural extension of my style.”

Get creative with statement curtains

Curtains add warmth to any room, once curtains are hung they make a room lived in.  They add a touch of elegance, adding texture to any space whilst at the same time help with the acoustics, privacy and control of the natural light.

Curtains are a key part of the decor of any room.  You can use the colour and pattern of curtains to evoke a mood, i.e. lighter colours are more soothing, ideal when you want to create a calm and relaxing place; brighter colours can be more stimulating which is great for playrooms, children rooms; similar are warm colours where you can create a welcoming and energising scheme for guests.

Natural and fractal designs can add a sense of calm, this combined with soothing colours create a relaxing and nurturing atmosphere.  In contrast, bright colours combined with large pattern repeat can be visually stimulating, ideal for places where you want to invigorate or energise.

Stripe Curtain Fabric

Stripes have been a long favourite for Lizzet, so there is no surprise that on her first textile collection a striped pattern was included and to great success.

When using striped fabric for curtains, you help to elongate the height of the room and create an elegant and unassuming style.  Stripes don’t have to be bold nor boring, they are a stable and combine beautifully with floral, plain and checked designs.

Stripe fabric can certainly make a statement when used in curtains, any additional fabric can be used to make scattered cushions for a complete scheme.
