Al Fresco Essentials for Summer

The thermometer has marked the unofficial start of summer, a season that can easily be translated to all laid-back pleasures and a joy for slow life, and more often than not outdoor activities, and well, the queen of all outdoor activities is dinning al fresco.

We have put together a few ideas to help you make the most of the longer days and the warmer weather ahead.  Whether you opt for greenhouse chic, plan an elegant affair, or the uttermost rustic simplicity with only natural materials, these tips will help you decorate your summer table.

Garden furniture

We love our furniture because it can help you create the perfect outdoor space, it is comfortable, beautiful and elegant all at the same time.  Whilst we don’t recommend leaving it outside overnight or during wet weather, it will stand being outside for long periods of time.   Our rattan chairs are made with the best materials, that will transform your summer table in a cinch. The best of all, it can easily wiped off with a clean cloth!

Laid-back luxury

Eating outdoors doesn’t mean anymore single use plastic, it is a great opportunity for our French wine glasses and tumblers to see the sunlight.  Each colourful glass has a weighty base and an attractive tapered shape, making it practical and stylish, they elevate your summer table and give it a sense of ease and luxury at the same time.

Eye catching statement pattern

We couldn’t recommend any other pattern but Imola for your tablecloth this summer.  Drape this beautiful linen tablecloth over any table and you won’t be disappointed.  A subtle and elegant pattern of a slow flowing river wraps around the table, add few flowers on top and you are ready to receive your guest with subtle elegance.

Lighting

When the sun begins to dip, create atmosphere with flickering candlelight.  Play with different colours to harmonise with your garden, table linens and tableware, or simply add your favourite colour, you cannot go wrong with our long burning candles.
