Laurent Match Striker

This unique match striker (pyrogéne) is a reproduction of those found throughout late 19th and early 20th century in France and the rest of Europe, where it was common finding them sitting on a bistro table.  

Apart from ignite matches and to store them, they were also used for advertising brandy and other liquors.  

Today, apart for their obvious function, are an ideal decorative item that will add a French flair to a mantelpiece or coffee table.
