From Mastery to Table: The Story Behind the Imola Luxury Linen Tablecloth
There are moments when inspiration strikes with quiet clarity — when a piece of art, centuries old, somehow speaks to today. For me, that moment came while standing before Leonardo da Vinci’s exquisite map of Imola.
This remarkable drawing, part of the Royal Collection Trust, was featured in the 2018 exhibition Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing at what is now the King’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace, London. Seeing it up close was unforgettable — a rare glimpse into Leonardo’s extraordinary mind.
Created in 1502, the map of Imola is a fusion of technical brilliance and artistic grace. Its hand-drawn lines are both measured and expressive, capturing the spirit of a place with effortless clarity. That gentle precision became the creative spark behind the Imola tablecloth — one of my most cherished designs.

This method significantly reduces water usage and eliminates unnecessary waste — allowing us to create sustainably without compromising on quality or craftsmanship.
Leonardo da Vinci observed nature with deep reverence and precision. In my own small way, I aim to carry that same intention forward — designing textiles that are not only beautiful, but also gentle on the environment.
